DynamicID configuration error. Please contact your administrator.

Hello,

I'm trying without success to use dynamic ID as a second authentication factor.

In the "sms provider and email settings" box I'm using this configuration (my sms gateway is bulksms):

https://api-legacy2.bulksms.com/eapi/submission/send_sms/2/2.0?username=$USERNAME&password=$PASSWORD...

using the same url in a normal browser with the variables replaced with the actual values I need, everything work fine: I receive the message.

So the syntax should be ok, at least it's ok for the sms gateway server. Nevertheless from the logs I keep seeing the message "DynamicID configuration error. Please contact your administrator."

Any idea ?

Platfrom is 1590 Appliance. R80.20.

Thanks

If you upgrade to R81.10.05, we actually have a built-in SMS provider.
See: https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk168173
Otherwise, I recommend a TAC case: https://help.checkpoint.com

Hi, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the gateway is joined to a mgmt server that doesn't support yet 81.10.

I will go on opening a TAC case.

Another question related to this issue. I was trying to check the vpn logs, but it looks like that on my 1590 Appliance this path doesn't exist: $CVPNDIR/log/cvpnd.elg

Is it possible that on a 1590 appliance the vpn log file is located on a different path ?

This log file is not relevant on SMB appliances as it comes from Mobile Access Blade, which is not supported on SMB appliances.
Also, the SMS provider we provide can only be used with locally managed SMB appliances, not centrally managed ones.

Making your best bet a TAC case.
