A new firmware version is available: 1500_R80.20.00_992000696

Device > System Operations show: A new firmware version is available: 1500_R80.20.00_992000696

But when searching in UserCenter, no such firmware is found... Only R80.20 Build 992000668 for 1500 Appliances is present. Why that ?

The new version is shown in central managed WebGUI, but no installation is possible there. In local management mode, the new version is shown in WebGUI, but when trying to install it, the check for updates will start and end with no update available anymore but showing that the currently installed firmware is the newest one. Only when managed by Cloud the update will start and finish successfully.

Not sure, but I think I read somewhere that centrally managed SMB can be updated only manually.

They usually get upgraded by the SMS SmartUpdate - 14x0 firmware package is named e.g. CP1400_6.0_4_0_-.tgz, or using WebGUI, then it is the usual fw1_sx_dep_R77_990172929_20.img package.
