We have R80.40 installed. Recently, we have been facing this error. "You cannot receive an office mode IP address because the security gateway does not have a license for office mode" error on SSL Remote Access VPN client that tries to connect to a cluster. We have tried all the fixes or solutions provided on the checkpoint community but haven't found any helpful answers.
1. Do we need to upgrade our license?
2. In which blade does the remote access VPN categorized?
3. Which license blade do we have to ask for?
This license has only 5 built-in Office Mode clients. If you go over this number, you need CPSB-MOB-XXX licenses - the Mobile Access extensions.
What license do you have, what VPN client are you using, how are the IPs allocated (e.g. DHCP) and what JHF is applied to the Gateway?
CPAP-SG7000-PLUS-SNBT
7000 PLUS appliance with SandBlast subscription package for 1 year
This license has only 5 built-in Office Mode clients. If you go over this number, you need CPSB-MOB-XXX licenses - the Mobile Access extensions.
Is this license destined for Checkpoint Endpoint Security or for mobile devices?
Currently, our gateway allows only 15 users to connect to our internal network.
Mobile in this context pertains to SSL VPN.
Available "Mobile Access" license increments for the 7000 series are 50/200/Unlimited.
The "Mobile Access" license is based on concurrent connections and if it's a cluster both members will need a license.
For information on what client types consume which type of license please refer sk67820.
Both. 15 is an odd number, should be more like 5.
