is cpm and fwm are same!!!

Dear Team,

Any one, please clarify my doubts about CPM and FWM on the below points....

1. Is CPM is alternative for FWM ?

2. CPM and FWM does the same job !

3. Is FWM obsolete after R80.X ?

4. Is FWM was handling "creating /deleting modifying object and Policy compilation" in earlier R80.X version and now being taken care by CPM...!

5. Does both services only running on SMS?

Waiting for Cristal clear explanation form experts...  Thanks in Advance...

cpm and fwm perform related functions but are different.
In R77.x and earlier there was only fwm.
cpm was added in R8x and handles all the newer functionality.
fwm is still present in R8x to manage functions that haven’t been fully migrated to the newer infrastructure.
Its also used to manage gateways that aren’t running R8x code.

And yes, both of these process only run on management devices.
