Unable to install policy - Failed to read database files

Hi Team,

Just moved to new open server and restored the backup of R80.40 with system backup of my mgmt server. Restoration was successful however when I am installing policy it is failing with error Failed to read database files. I followed sk112355 but still no luck.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Hello,

Issue is resoled with below procedure.

  1. Installed new mgmt server in Test environment
  2. Installed latest hotfix first before restore
  3. Started solr in debug mode to ensure this is coming up correctly.
  4. Restored the backup and again verified solr engine logs in debug mode
  5. Once everything found ok - took the backup of existing new test mgmt server
  6. and adopted the same process in production.
Thanks and Regards,

Do you get same issue if you try push policy from mgmt_cli, something like this?

This is just in my lab, where gateway is name of the fw, and policy is called as per below:

mgmt_cli install-policy policy-package "R81.10_policy" targets "gateway"

Also, found below thread from ages ago, but does not appear there was an easy solution:

Can you confirm that gateways have SIC established?
