URL Filtering: Recategorise sites without modifying primary category

Hi!

Is it possible to recategorise sites/urls without modifying the primary category, but only add a new category to the additional categories?

EDIT:
I try to categorise site only locally to private categories to create a granular rule base. So categorising on a global level is no option. Also, I do not want to change already existing categories, but only add one.

Can you provide some background on the bigger picture of what you're trying to achieve?

Thanks for the reply. Sort of. I want to add an additional category, but do not want to modify any exisiting ones. And as far as I know, if I create a new local application with a site already existing, I will override any global categories. Is this correct?
