CheckMates Go:
Maestro Madness
Is it possible for a single administrator to have multiple readwrite sessions open or suspended at once from SmartConsole? If not, I would love to see this ability added in addition to the option to select ReadOnly mode. This way a single administrator could stage multiple changes as distinct sessions, then publish them individually as they received any pending approvals.
We are planning to add this ability in future versions for the exact use case that you mentioned - working on multiple tickets by one administrator.
For now, this can be achieved using the API / command line - the same administrator can open concurrent connections using separate API sessions.
Update: Feature is added to R80.20, now in Early Availability.
Update: Feature is included in R80.20.M1 now in General Availability. Watch tutorial.

Tomer Sole: Is that an r81 enhancement or something much further down the road?
It's not a "much further" kind of feature since it already exists via the API. However we cannot comment on exact ETA's for such features other than information specified in Check Point Releases Plan
Along that same line. Why am I required to publish my open session to install policy? Warn the user that their unpublished changes will not be installed, and give them the opportunity to continue/cancel.
You are correct that as long as we don't fully support multiple sessions per user in SmartConsole, there is a feature gap here for installing only the published changes without the unpublished changes. Thank you for this feedback.
For R80, a workaround will be either with logging in as a second user, who made no changes, or by opening the command line button and running the install policy command. I understand that this is a lesser experience and it's only a workaround for the current version.
Haven't had an opportunity to test 80.1 yet, did this make it in?
Hi everyone, the https://community.checkpoint.com/message/18347-check-point-r8020-production-and-public-ea contain Multiple Sessions per user in SmartConsole. We are very interested with your feedback on this feature.
How to use this feature in R80.20.M1 (now in General Availability)
