Not able to change the name of gateway on Management server

Not able to change the name of gateway on Management server though I did change it on GAIA

but in smart console its not editing to change the name.

I believe you have re-create your ICA to do that, so if you don't need to change it, I would say leave it (Keep in mind you would then need to re-sic all you GWs), of course there may be away to change this without recreating your ICA, but I've not seen anything that works.

You could try TAC as well.

Reset the SIC trust, accept it and then escape without re-establishing SIC. Then you can change the name of the gateway and then follow that with re-establishing SIC, assuming you have changed the name of the gateway. (This is for gateways only, not management servers themselves)

This is very true plus I guess if that gateway is part of VPN community you need to remove that as well.

I could be mistaken, but I believe you need to reset SIC for that, as well as re-apply the license, but as @genisis__ said, maybe contact TAC to verify all this.

I mis-read, I thought this was rename the Manager..Doh!  Gateway rename I tended to do is jut break sic, rename and then reset the sic.  Clearly done in maintenance window (but you can do this without restarting the services on the GW).
