Load iso from USB stick for Smart1-210
Hi,
I will do a clean install for smart1-210 upgrading to R80.10. I just install the R80.10 iso to a USB stick using isomorphic. So i just want confirm that smart1-201 can read usb stick when its rebooted, and the procedure to load from USB.
In the past i had issues with UTM-1 loading iso from usb sticks, the USB sticks werent recongnised. so i had to use an external DVD (in port USB).

Generally this should work. However not all USB keys will work.

I already had the same problem in the past.
Solution:
- Use another USB stick
- On some appliances the boot order is not correct. Open a TAC ticket and let they change the boot order settings.
TIP:
Use a ZALMAN USB Disk "ZM VE 300". It simulates a DVD ROM.

I had issues with boot from USB for Open servers (IBM) only. On Check Point, all went smooth, all the time. I remember a case where we had to move USB from one port to another, as one port was not able to boot from USB (and it was CP device).
As a last resort, you can use LOM interface to mount ISO.

@Vladimir Thank you.
I have deleted the link. Check Point AV, URL filter and TE didn't find anything here.

No problem. Somewhat ironically, it was Kaspersky that lit-up like a Christmas tree the moment that site was accessed.
Given that they are CheckPoint's AV engine of choice, or at least were in the past, I wander how it got through.
BTW, my Check Point 1430 with AV/AB/IPS didn't catch it as well. I am not running TE, so I cannot comment on that.
To add the insult to injury, this was not an HTPS site. It should've been detected.
