Fetch branches clarification

Hello,

I have different customers with an LDAP AU active.

If I perform "Fetch branches" it's works without any issue but on one this command change the branches and the Authentication stop working.

Scenario

Customer 1:

Branches in use "example.com"

push Fetch branches

Branches in use still "example.com"

Customer 2:

Branches in use "dom.difexample.com"

push Fetch branches

Branches in use changes to "difexample.com"

So the branches in use change and the authentication stop working.

Why on Customer 2 the "Fetch branches" change the "Branches in use" and we need to change manualy to fix it?

It's true that the "Fetch branches" is only a connectivity test from MGMT to AD or the cmd perform other things that can have an impact on the Ldap AU configuration?
