Maestro Backup Recommendations

Looking for some information/recommendations on performing Maestro backups (SGM's and MHO's)? Not much found in SecureKnowledge for this topic.

Is your deployment involving VSX or discrete Gateway, single security group?

Though not Maestro specific, sk152735 recommends snapshot and capturing "show configuration" from the SMO.

sk174202 provides some pointers for Orchestrator recovery/replacement and how to export the config.
