How to get hard disk serial number
Hi, I need help in getting hard disk serial number from firewall on checkpoint 12400 and smart-1 205 platform.
I have tried using the commands "show asset disk" and "cpinfo -y all" and it only show hard disk model number.
Any idea is there any command that is able to show the hard disk serial number?

Apparently smartctl -a /dev/sda (or whatever the device name is) will give you the serial number on some appliances.
