What happened to E87.40 Windows Clients?

A couple of days ago, I downloaded the E87.40 Windows clients from the Support Center. This release was listed as "latest" in sk117536. We have already deployed this release on some endpoints.

However, when checking sk117536 now, it states that E87.31 is the latest release for Windows clients.

Does anyone know what happened to the E87.40 release for Windows clients?

The version was reported to have an issue with Full Disk Encryption for customers who are using SED/OPAL drives during upgrade.

It was removed and a replacement will be introduced fixing this issue.

Doron.

Is this just your assumption or is this based on actual information? I find it very irritating and disturbing if an Endpoint Security release is removed without any notice whatsoever.

This is based on experience 😎, I also find it irritating, but a version with a serious bug has to be removed from downloads asap. So we wait for E87.41...

I fully agree, but there should be a notice on the Endpoint Security Homepage stating that the release has been pulled back. Without it, it just creates confusion and unnecessary efforts to find out what happened. Anyway, Doron provided the information now, so hopefully others will find this thread as well to get this information.

Thanks for the explanation Doron. Will the replacement be E80.4x so that customers which already upgraded to E81.40 can upgrade to the fixed release?
