Rule uid - static or dynamic

Hi good people, 

Was just wondering if a rule uid changes at any point. For example, if I update a policy by editing a rule, will the uid for that rule get modified? 

I would like to think it does not change considering its a unique identifier. Someone kindly confirm this for me.

A rule UID never changes. I doesn't matter if you edit or move the rule.

UIDs don't change for any object (rule/host/network/etc).
