How to recover from failed JHFA installation?

Really didn't expect CPUSE to ruin my day in this fashion and didn't follow my own golden rule of snapshotting before every JHFA or hotfix installation, but here we are:

installing Take_91 on SMS with Take_70 rendered SMS unusable.

Cannot get WebUI working, (have tried Danny's suggestion and alternate browsers), but can SSH into it and am seeing:

[Expert@SMS8010:0]# $FWDIR/scripts/cpm_status.sh
Check Point Security Management Server is during initialization
[Expert@SMS8010:0]#

Attempts to either uninstall or reinstall JHFA using CPUSE cli are failing with no feedback.

Any ideas about alternative recovery procedures?

Hi Vladimir,

do I understand you correctly?
You've already tried that:

installer uninstall <Package_Number>

+ reboot

Or install the newest JHF 103.

Check Point Upgrade Service Engine (CPUSE) - Gaia Deployment Agent

Otherwise I'd open a support ticket.

Regards

Heiko

Yes, it was the first thing I've tried.

Few notes about "installer" utility as well: it supposed to cycle through the packages with space or tab key, but it does not.

It is also supposed to list the packages by actual file name, but it lists them by description.

Any way, the end result is the same: when executed with package name or the package description as a parameter, it simply goes to the empty line with no progress or feedback and sits there indefinitely.

I've given it a few hours to respond, but no luck.

I think you should open a support ticket.

P.S. It does look like CP will be pulling Take_91 from GA according to Steven Civitarese in this thread:
