Please can you advise how do I move logs from CMA to CML on a Multi domain server
Initially i had logs on the MDS with several CMA now I have configured a MLM and I want to move the old logs to the MLM and the respective CMLs
Is there any SK for this?
Each CMA has an $FWDIR/log directory where the log files reside.
Use the command mdsenv domain_name to switch between the CMAs.
You can use standard Linux commands to move the files around as desired.
You would copy them to $FWDIR/log on the relevant CLM.
If you're new to all this, it might be worth having your local Check Point SE or partner come out to assist you.
Follow the steps described in the Importing Offline Log Files section of: Logging and Monitoring R80.10 (Part of Check Point Infinity)
I am kinda new to Multi Domin enviromment, are there any steps, with command to carryout?
1. Logs are on the MDS and I have several Domains (are the logs in the MDS of in the several CDMs?)
2. I have a new Smart Log created, I haven't created the CML for the domains( can I move the logs without creating them to the MLM without creating the CMLs of the domains)
3.what commands, steps to take in moving the logs( from where to where)
