Hi All,
Is there a way to limit a URL Filter accept rule based on total time? For example, we want to allow people to get to Youtube, but only for 1 hour a day. I see under accept there is the ability to put a limit, but that is only for upload/download data limits. Is there a way to put a time limit per day on the filter? Thanks.
The only thing that comes to my mind would be time objects, where you could have rules allowing YouTube enabled from maybe 9-10 AM each day. This would start and stop at set times and would not be able to adjust based on how long users are actually browsing.
Agreed -- using a time based rule to open access for a specific window of time would be the closest thing to what you're looking for given Check Point's current limitations. It might be worth noting that Time Based rules cannot be processed by SecureXL. So, if you do go that route, try to get them as close to the bottom of the policy as possible!
This is not a feature we currently offer in the mainstream product.
