Hi,
any news on the availability for the R80.20 Virtual Edition for VMware?
GW image is installable on VMware. It is already avaiable. R80.20 Gaia Fresh Install for Security Gateway and Stand Alone
Thank you!
There is no need to have special edition for VM. Just download latest R80.20 from link provided by Valeri and create new VM in your virtual environment.
Hi Valeri Loukine
What is the difference between following 2 pages?
This one is download link directly from R80.20 homepage:
and this link which you provided here:
AFAIK there's no difference, since the MD5 is the same for both images.
The second leads to the first
The actual question that should have been asked is when will the OVF or template become available, Yes you can use the ISO to install a gateway on VM, but will it work as a VE, in other words will it accept the VSEC Central licenses?
There is no VE anymore, just saying.
vSEC licenses will work
do you know if performance's R80.20 as perimeter firewall...with correct hardware sizing, can be use instead of appliance or open server?
I am considering providing a bare metal with the known technical specifications of an appliance (cores, memory, storage, ...), which is cheaper.
I would like to hear your comments on this.
Thank you
