Policy Verification

Hi,

iam using R80.20 with SmartConsole Version 055.

Within "Verify Access Control Policy" there is no Error. When i start to install Policy, this ends with Error.

Is it an Bug or is the Verify not able to check inside sub-layers?

Hi,

I does not sound like a bug - Policy Verification is only one part of the overall Install Policy that also includes the Policy Compilation stage that revels other important issues in the policy.

Can you share the Error you received during the Install Policy?

Policy Install Error is that one Rule hides another. The Error is ok.
But Policy Verifier does not recognize it.

next test: i started smartconsole in demo mode and copied rule 13.3 (any to internal lab srv05 with https) and changed destination to any.

13.3 any any https accept
13.4 any internal-lab05 https accept

this sould generate an hide-error. but with verifier all is ok.

This is indeed a bug that is fixed in Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator 92 for R80.20. It is planned on being released soon.
