Management HA upgrade to R80.10

Good morning all

I am trying to upgrade a Management HA environment with from R77.30 to R80.10.

The upgrade of the Primary management server went smoothly, using the CPUse in-place upgrade procedure, but when trying to do the same upgrade for the Secondary management, the pre-upgrade verification fails, with an error message stating that the upgrade is only allowed on the primary server and suggesting I promote the secondary to primary and try again...

Any ideas?

I would clean install secondary sms, should be the easiest and fastest way.

and now to something completely different

I second that - secondary SMS should be a fresh install. But i would rather use a SMS in a VM instead...

First upgrade the primary sms and then clean install the secondary sms. after you've got two R80.10 sms you can sync them, you already have database on primary sms. I would clean install both of them and use migrate export/import.
