End Of Support around the corner (May 2021)
I have HP server, enabled Hyper V in it and trying to install Gaia R 80.10 into it, but unfortunately am not able to go further as it is promoting errors, can any body send me step by step procedure for installation.
Regards,
Srikanth
Can you please elaborate?
- Windows 2012 R2 / Windows 2016?
- Which errors can you see?
** Please be aware of: Check Point Gaia OS support for Hyper-V
This can assist?
It's a Windows 2016 Standard edition,
Server is HP Proliant DL 180 Gen 9
It is not allowing me to install Gaia 80.10 into it..
Can you post the configurations + errors that you are getting?
Did you try to engage with our TAC ? they for sure can solve it very quick
Also, the physical server is less imported, since the security solution is virtualized on Microsoft server.
I personally do not have a step-by-step guide - maybe someone has it and will update
Am using Open virtual box(Oracle) have installed now it is working..
Thanks for help
I'm not sure what disk type Hyper-V tries to use but I've had issues before in ESXi with the fact that R77.30 and R80.10 only support iSCSI LSI Logic Parallel disk type and you will find issues trying to use paravirtual drivers, I believe due to lack of that Redhat Kernel Version's support for the drivers it needs.
Try a different disk type if possible.
