I have a pair of Management server (Active/Standby). I found the syslog daemon on active node not running. I checked the configuration that it has configured to forward logs to another syslog server.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the issue? Thanks.
How did you find that syslog on active node is not running?
You can try restart syslog deamon by "service syslog restart" command from expert.
After that check if syslog is running: "ps aux | grep syslog"
The syslog daemon can be restarted. Thanks.
On the other hand, I am using R77.20. Can I forward specific IPS events to my syslog server?
Not sure, as I dont have experience with IPS at all... Try to create new question for this issue.
