According to sk164155, Dynamic Balancing (Dynamic Split) is not supported with VSX. Will this limitation be resolved in future versions ?
It is on mid-term road map, no specific time frames can be announced at this moment
This article says that it is resolved now in R81? Is that correct?
Also being ported for select earlier versions via upcomming JHF.
https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Security-Gateways/R81-VSX/m-p/110129/highlight/true#M15109
It will be ported in the upcoming JHFs, yes.
That is incorrect, I will request this article to be changed.
Now it’s listed as supported on r81.10 GA
within the sk170417, is this correct as the dynamic balancing sk164155 still says it’s not supported on vsx
regards
Magnus
This is correct. Dynamic Balancing SK will be updated as well.
Nice 🙂
whats the reason why it’s limited to specific appliances, is this due to it need a specific generation of CPU?
And if so is that’s why is not supported for open servers?
And is this something that is planned for open servers?
regards
Magnus
It is limited to appliances that were both certified, and have a suitable amount of cores.
Supporting open servers is on the roadmap, ETA was not yet determined.
