Hi Team
I am currently accessing our Check Point firewall using the public IP address.
I would like to access it using an FQDN instead.
Kindly help me to resolve the issue
Thanks
Siddu
Hi,
first you need a DNS entry (A record) so that your FQDN points to the public IP of the firewall.
Then you have to create or request a certificate for this FQDN.
After that you can replace the default self-signed certificate with your new one.
This is described in a Check Point SecureKnowledge article.
Cheers
Just to add to what Vin had said, which is 100% correct, below is the sk.

Hi Vincent,
I already mapped A record on my DNS portal
now can i follow below steps
Procedure:
Connect with SmartConsole to Security Management Server / Domain Management Server.
In the left panel, click the "Gateways & Servers" view.
Open the Security Gateway / Cluster object.
In the left panel, click the "Platform Portal" pane.
In the section "Certificate", click "Import" and select the certificate file.
Click OK to close the Security Gateway / Cluster object.
Install the Access Control policy.
Thats it, just follow whats in the sk.
That’s it!
