Different Version on Management Server from Gateway Cluster

Hello,

I was wondering if it is alright to run Version R81 on the Management server, and Version R80.40 on Clustered Gateway.

Regards PM

Hi,

yes, this is possible: Security Management Servers and supported managed Security Gateways (checkpoint.com)

Generally the Management Version has to be the same or higher than the Gateways (there are a few exceptions where the Gateway can have a higher version). Keep in mind that you are of course limited to R80.40 features for the Gateways (e.g. no accelerated policy install).
