Hello,
We are using Remote Access VPN Client (SecuRemote) to establihs C2S VPN tunnel between end users and GW.
It is possible that once user is connected via VPN, some message will pop-up (like MOTD) ?
For example I want to inform end users that something will happen with VPN connection at some day.
Similar like message that VPN encryption domains are overlapping, or certificate is about to expiry.
Thanks for every answer.
Hi,
You can try using Post Connect Script feature in the Remote Access client.
This enables you to run a script right after the connect operation.
Please refer to the Remote Access Admin guide to read more on this feature.
Thanks,
Adi
To the best of my knowledge, this is not something we offer.
There is really no way how to inform (pop-up, MOTD) connected users via SecuRemote client ?
SecuRemote is the free, OfficeMode-Less RA VPN client - so there are no extra features. But what you need is possible using the Mobile Access Blade Push Notifications !
Thank you very much
Unfortunately, we are not using Mobile Access, nor Capsule Workspace in our environment.
Maybe small RFE for future ? My idea would be that there will be new section in trac_client_1.ttm where you can add any message for all users which will be connected to this specific gateway. If this string will be not empty, it will display what is inside it like MOTD after VPN is established.
You can put in the RFE here.

Hi Adi,
Thank you for letting me know about such a feature !
I will test it in 2 weeks but as far as I see, it will just execute script located on users workstation. Would be great if I can also put that script (file) to the users workstation. Or execute one-line script instead of whole file.
Hi again,
So it works fine in case that file is located on users computer.
Is there any way how to transfer file from gateway to the clients workstation using SecuRemote ? Something in trac config file ?
As far as I know, not specifically.
I just figured out that it is possible open specific page using IE which is perfect for me.
All I need is to use following syntax:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe https://www.some_page.com
It works well, but only in case you are trying to establish VPN connection manually. In case you are already connected to some other site, and your VPN client will automatically connect you to site where Post Connect Script feature is running, it will not open the page.
So it would be nice to have also this "bug" fixed, if possible somehow
