Google Play will require that app-updates target Android 8.0 (API 26) next week (November 1, 2018) which will affect our capabilities to run in background.
Under these restrictions and to ensure we are still protecting our customers, SandBlast Mobile will use a foreground service with a sticky notification for users with Android 8.0 and higher only (older versions of Android are not affected) to provide real-time protection against MitM attacks and Malware Apps.
This notification could be annoying, so users will be able to hide it from the notifications center soon, by tapping the "Hide Notification" link, tap "Notification", and uncheck "Background services".
