Hi,

if I have an MDS-HA I can see the logs of all domains on the MDS Smartlog - even if the domain (and Log_indexer) if active on the secondary mds Node.

How does this work? Is the log query send to the ohter mds and the result appears in the MDS Smartlog of the primary MDS?

So no matter where the log are indexed - I see them centrally? Also on Domain level Smartlog.....

You've basically explained it, yes.
While this is for general MDM, it also applies to MLM as well.
