Enable Rule UID

We have a requirement to enable/use Rule UID on all of our management stations (its a mix of R65, R72, R77).

To enable this feature I need to check the following option in Global Properties:

'Smardashboard Customizations>Advanced>Firewall-1>General - rulebase_uids_in_log'

Before going into the advanced section there is a note that says 'recommended to contact Checkpoint technical support before modifying these values'.

Is that necessary? What impact (if any) does enabling rulebase_uids_in_log have?

It’s a generic warning for other items in that section. That particular setting, since it’s the default setting in new installs should be fairly safe to enable.

We enabled Rule UID via Global properties but we were unable to push policy once this feature was enabled. We receive "load on module failed: no memory."

I've rules out most of the causes from sk101875.

Has anyone run into this issue? If so, what was your fix?
