You probably want to start with this SK: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solut...
You must have Firewall enabled, but it can have an Any Any Any Accept rule.
Then configure IPS as per the regular product documentation.
