Jump to solution

Hi,  Everybody,

If the gateway 5600 is deployed in standalone mode, what is its TP performance? How much G (M) is the throughput of TP?

thanks a lot.

Hi @laobai

You can download the 5600 data sheet here 5600 Security Gateway Datasheet

Firewall throughput: 20.4 Gbps

Firewall NGFW: 5.1 Gbps

Firewall TP throughput: 2.78 Gbps

Depending on activated blades and configuration, the values may vary.

The performance will be lower than the datasheet published figures in this configuration but there are a number of variables involved.

The following questions will enable us to guide you further:

1) Is this an existing 5600 appliance with SSD or HDD?

2) What is the driver not to leverage separate management for this appliance?

3) Are reporting/SmartEvent features planned to be activated?

4) Memory population of the 5600 appliance?

Thanks for reply, and this 5600 appliance with HDD,The customer does not have enough money currently buy smartcenter,And They maybe activate event and report because they will enable blades such as ips, av, ab on gw. So I worry about 5600 performance.

Security Management as a Service (MaaS) might be an option to explore further...

You may also want to consider SandBlast Now, which offers cloud management for your appliances.
If you have an NGTX subscription on your appliance, you can leverage this for no additional cost.

This is not for a 5600 in standalone mode, but it gives some real-world performance numbers:
