Upgrade to R80.40 prohibited? only clean install possible?

Hello Everyone,

So i was able to upgrade from R80.20 to R80.30 with no issues (lab running on my laptop) but for some reason i cannot upgrade to R80.40, it says only clean install possible, is there no way for me use the upgrade option to 80.40??

Hi
Can you please run "verify" and add the result screenshot?
Verify should specify the reason.

Hello,

Thanks for replying, I can see an upgrade option now by following @Magnus-Holmberg's instructions.

Where does it say "Only clean install is possible"? Definitely not on your screenshot.

What I mean was if you look at the install instructions on the right part(the part where I circled) it says "upgrade is prohibited" so that's why I said only clean install is possible since if you're is not possible how else can I get to 80.40? Anyways I followed @Magnus-Holmbergs advice(below) and now I can see an upgrade option, thanks for your help.

if you are using global policy, make sure to reattach/install the global policy.
I got the same message before that was done 🙂

Also verify that you have the latest CPUSE agent, as that can give the same error message.
