SK159120 IPS Issue

Hello together
I get a CP 4000 running with Trail Version.
I can not push any Policy because in case of IPS Issue 159120.
The SK 159120 show a Solution but only with a License, is there a Solution or Workaround
because on the Trail Version I have no License.
The cleanup of the the Database do not work.

Installation is a Distributed System , Firewall have 8 GB of Memory.

IPS is not Installed.

If you are using a 4000 series appliance in standalone mode (SMS & gateway on same box) with R80.10 or later, that configuration is not supported.  The only 4000 series appliance that would support R80.10+ standalone is a 4800, and only with 8GB of RAM (default is 4GB).

Please obtain supported hardware and try again.

Specifications for the SMS system?  What is the exact model number of the 4000 series firewall?

Hi Timothy

SMS is on a VM in a Vcenter 24 GB Memory 4 CPU

Issue is that I cannot install any Policy from the SMS to the FW even with fetch Command , error Message on Database without any Information.

For sure Ping is working between both System.

I don't see how you are going to get out of that jam without a valid license so you can perform an IPS Update.  I'd suggest contacting your Check Point SE and they should be able to set you up with a 30-day eval license.  Once applied you should be able to update your IPS.
