L3 on bond interface on gateway, do we define rules for nodes on same vlan

Is there  way to limit the rules for nodes on same vlan if L3 on gateway?  do we do any any rule for that subnet?

In Cisco firewalls there is some command to use for same vlan node connection and no rule required then. Do checkpoint have same?

All communication on a L2 network does not hit the gateway and can therefore not be inspected, only when you put the gateway in transparent mode it will be able to filter traffic in the same vlan but only from devices on either side of the gateway.

my question may not be very clear!
I have am setting up servers in 1 vlan in dmz for which gateway will be defined on gateway. For those servers to talk to each other traffic will flow via gateway so, do i have to set rules if those servers in same vlan need to communicate? Or do we have setting on checkpoint where we allow that traffic from same subnet with single command like ASA?

Generally hosts on the same VLAN also are on the same subnet.
If hosts are on the same subnet, the traffic will not route to the gateway at all, thus no rule is required.
