A lttle bit of details could be helpful , did you already check free disk space on your machine?

Yes... this is first option that I´m checking...

[Expert@SPOBR1FWMG01:0]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_splat-lv_current
39G 19G 19G 51% /
/dev/sda1 289M 24M 251M 9% /boot
tmpfs 3.9G 4.0K 3.9G 1% /dev/shm
/dev/mapper/vg_splat-lv_log
21G 5.2G 15G 27% /var/log

Are you sure it has crashed?

If you are using the cpuse package to upgrade, I've had this stay at 58% for nearly 4 hours.

ssh to the MDS and run:

   find $MDSDIR/customers/ -name "migrate*log" -exec ls -la {} \;

tail the most recent log to see things happening. When it finishes and moves to a different CMA/domain it will create a new log file in a new customer directory.

alternatively run top to see which process is eating all the CPU and be patient

Once the installation shows as complete the MDS will take a long time to start too.
