Intermittent issues with Autodesk Powershell scripts

Our design office users are having server intermittent performance issues when running Autodesk Powershell scripts. When saving a file a Powershell Script is ran to compare files on the host machine and the server.

Autodesk have created a test environment and state the issue is not with the Powershell Script.

We have added folder exclusion and the folder containing the Powershell Script.

FOLDER EXCLUSION c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Vault 2020\Extensions\

Anti-Exploit Blade > Inspect all domains and files
Anti-Ransomware Blade > File Quarantine Settings
Forensic Blade > Anti-Ransomware and Behavioral Guard and Forensic Settings

SHA1 FILE HASH        c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Vault 2020\Extensions\DataStandard\CAD.Custom\addins\Default.ps1

Anti-Exploit Blade > Inspect all domains and files

SHA1 FILE HASH        c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Vault 2020\Extensions\DataStandard\CAD.Custom\addins\FileNameValidation.ps1

Anti-Exploit Blade > Inspect all domains and files

We are using Sandblast Endpoint Client E83

We are left to remove Endpoint Client from a couple of machines to see if it is indeed an issue with the Endpoint Client.

While this is taking place i thought it prudent to check to see if there are any known issues with scanning of Powershell Scripts, maybe specifically with E83. We can't see anywhere to exclude .ps1 files type explicitly, so we have excluded the folders and by file hash, is this best practice or is there a better way ?

Any advice or comments welcome

Not aware of any specific issues.
I don't think you can exclude file types, only locations.

Hi,

What was the performance issue?

Did you had high cpu or just slow execution of the script?

Hi Roman,

Just slow execution of the script we believe. There are text boxes within Autodesk Data Standards that have a huge delay on the input. While this happens other programs like Acrobat Reader DC are slow to load and open or save files.

We see no hardware performance issues, CPU and Memory are all within normal parameters. There are no events in the Event viewer that would point to an issue either.

This problem is intermittent, as in sometime they are able to click save in Autodesk applications and in turn the powershell script runs and there are no issues, but after a 1/2 day - 1 day problem comes back. After restarting the problem goes away again.
