Shortcut Issue with Endpoint Client E80.72

Our organization recently upgraded to the E80.72 client which is working as intended except for one issue, Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts to launch the VPN are no longer functional. The shortcut path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Connect\TrGUI.exe" which has not changed and is still a valid location and path. This is the same shortcut that we've been using for several years now which would traditionally launch the login window to enter your credentials.

After the update this is no longer the behavior and the shortcut simply does nothing. As a work-around we've now given staff information on how to launch the login window via the Windows 7 Notification Icons in the System Tray. While this is "technically" a working solution it's not the same convenience or method that the simply shortcut has always provided. In our testing we tried adding the /connectto command to the end of the shortcut path but have no luck there either.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what have you done? All previous versions of CP Endpoint Security VPN have allowed us to use their shortcut so we have years and years of habitual practice no longer working which is causing staff confusion and frustration.

Curious: is this still an issue in the E80.80 release? Announcing E80.80 Check Point Endpoint Security Client

Testing the 80.80 release and low and behold the shortcuts work once again! This is fantastic news. I'll spread the word to our SCCM Team to begin more testing. Thank you so very much for your reply. I'm new to these forums but a long time user and analyst at our company using CP.
