Allow only authorized USB

Is it possible to create a policy where they can only be recognized and allow access to particular USBs?

Use Automatic Device Discovery.

Also use the latest E82.00 client versions (Windows / Mac).

Yes, absolutely. That‘s what we are using.

Hi @Danny, thank you for your answer.

Would you be kind enough to tell me how to recognize only certain USB and block the rest? 🙂

tried to create a new device (manually configured) and identify it by the "Device Serial Number" , but the endpoint cannot recognize it in any way

Have you tried adding it based on the detected devices in the logs?

Hi RPD, yes, I tried.

The funny thing is that in the records indicated in "Discovered Devices" shows a different "Device Serial Number" (in all cases add &0 to the end of the serial of the USB device). But despite adding the "Device Serial Number" detected in the logs, it does not recognize it.

However, as @Danny mentioned, it works with the "Automatic Device Discovery", where the only difference is that this option also discover the "Device ID begins with" info.

I would think it should work without this "Device ID Begins with" data and just recognize the "Device Serial Number" (the real one or with the &0 in the end), but despite trying many times I did not succeed.
