MAC OS - Can't open CCSA Manual with Check Point Capsule Docs

Hello,

I'm studying for the CCSA cert - and I want to open the file (Manual-CCSA-R80.10.pdf) with Adobe Acrobat DC Reader 2019 on MAC OS Mojava version 10.14

I encountered two issues :

 -  After the installation of CapsuleDocs.dmg (Capsule Docs Editor), i can't find the application in the Launchpad.

 - I can't open the file with  Adobe Acrobat DC Reader 2019 (message : This document is protected)

Has anyone else run into this?

When you right-click on the pdf file and select Open With, do you see Capsule Docs as an option?
You should, and you should open with that.
It should eventually open the file in Preview.

Hello,

This is what I see when I right-click on the pdf :

Also, I can't find the Capsule Docs in "application" or in Launchpad.

NB: Capsule docs is installed correctly :

There isn't really an "application" in the traditional sense.
But now that I see the screenshots, what I suspect is going on is the various background processes that look for "protected" files got wedged.
As a workaround, look for processes related to CapsuleDocs (written that way) and kill -9 them all.
In a minute or two, they should all restart and the document should get a pink "lock" icon in the Finder.
Then you should be able to open it.

A TAC case is probably in order to understand/debug what the real issue is.

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

The document has already a "lock" icon, as you can see :

But I still can't open the file with Adobe Acrobat DC Reader .

I tried to open it with Capsule Docs Viewer (Like under Windows) but I did't find it.

Thanks.

If you try and open the document directly with Acrobat, it will fail.
It must be opened by the CapsuleDocs program, which will provide an unprotected version to the appropriate app.
The fact you're not seeing CapsuleDocs in the Open With menu is problematic and worthy of a TAC case.
