What's New? Product News | March 2023

Hi, CloudGuarders,
We were currently rolling out a new agent version number: 525305 with a few exciting new features!

What's new in CloudGuard AppSec this month?

  1. New Threat Emulation engine now available via CloudGuard AppSec:
    • Check Point’s Threat Emulation engine via Check Point ThreatCloud sandbox emulation is now available in CloudGuard AppSec.
    • The engine can be easily activated for all supported file types – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and executable files – by selecting a single checkbox under Threat Prevention->File Security for any asset or zone.
    • For more information about Threat Emulation within File Security visit our dedicated documentation page.
  2. New Deployment Method - Unified AppSec/NGINX Container:
    • When deploying an agent as a docker image, there is now an additional deployment option on top of the existing option to deploy separated containers, one with an NGINX and attachment, and one with the Nano-Agent.
    • It is now possible to deploy a single docker image that includes both NGINX and Nano-Agent.
    • Browse to Cloud->Profiles and edit a docker profile created to see the new deployment instructions on the right-hand panel.
    • For more information about the Docker-based deployment of Nano-Agents visit our dedicated documentation page.
  3. Ubuntu 22.04 and Additional Platforms Support:
    • We are now support deploying CloudGuard AppSec Nano-Agent for NGINX on Ubuntu Jammy (1.18.0, 1.20.2, 1.21.1, 1.21.6, 1.22.0, 1.22.1, 1.23.0, 1.23.1, 1.23.2, and 1.23.3) and Ubuntu Kinetic (1.22.0, 1.22.1, 1.23.2, and 1.23.3).

  4. Various Bug Fixes.
