Thanks guys.

I found a workaround.  from R80.x dashboard, 'Actions\Go To Rule'.  enter the rule UID would take me to that rule.

As far as I know, none of the API calls return the actual rule number.

The best you can get is the rule name using, say, show-object.

[Expert@MGMT:0]# mgmt_cli -r true show-object uid cdc6ad83-9b58-47f7-b4aa-39aaa059c662

object:

  uid: "cdc6ad83-9b58-47f7-b4aa-39aaa059c662"

  name: "Cleanup rule"

  type: "access-rule"

  domain:

    uid: "41e821a0-3720-11e3-aa6e-0800200c9fde"

    name: "SMC User"

    domain-type: "domain"

It's a bit long-winded process as you need to dump the whole rulebase with "show access-rulebase" API command

There you can correlate UID vs rule #
