How to change the param of cluster gateway/members using mgmt_cli?

Hi,

I want to change the param of cluster gateway/members using mgmt_cli, but I couldn't find any commands. I tried using generic-object but it doesn’t work.

# mgmt_cli -u admin -p password set generic-object uid xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx color red
code: "generic_server_error"
message: "Management server failed to execute command"

Executed command failed. Changes are discarded.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Upgrade your management to R80.40 where there are documented, supported API calls to create and modify cluster objects.

I didn't mention that I'm using R80.20. I checked API version 1.6, I can find simple-cluster(s). Mgmt_cli still unsupported these Cluster member, Check Point host, interoperable device objects?

As said, 1.6 is for R80.40. With R80.20 you are having 1.4

To be clear, you may be able to do this with generic-object types.
However, use of the generic-object API is not formally supported or documented.
That said, you might find some hints around this topic here: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/API-CLI-Discussion-and-Samples/CloudGuard-Automated-firewall-Clu...

There is a documented, supported API for this in R80.40.
This would allow you to use mgmt_cli to make the change.
You are encouraged to upgrade and leverage this versus try to do this with the generic-object API.

API commands for cluster objects are only supported with R80.40, API version 1.6
