CCSE R80 Update exam

Hi,

I cleared CCSE R77 back in Jan-2016. Now it will be expiring in another 10 days.

I want to confirm if CCSE R80 Update is the only option for me to keep the status valid of my certification or can I take CCSM/CCMSE as well and that would do the trick?

Karan,

To maintain the CCSE status you may take the R80 CCSE Update exam.

However, passing the next level of certification (CCMSE or CCSM) is another way to maintain certified. Technically, it doesn’t upgrade your CCSE (it will still expire), but since it is a higher certification level, you will still get all of the benefits of being a CCSE.

If you have CCSA R80 and older CCSE can you sit for CCSE R80 update exam . Does it matter what version CCSE to take update exam.

In your case, you may sit either the R80 CCSE exam. Any previous CCSE can sit the R80 CCSE Update exam.
