Hi,

Am updating my video serie for "CCSA" content to R81.20
It going to take awhile, but plan is to release 1-2 videos per week.

I would love to get feedback, suggestions on topics.

My ide of this serie is to cover the topics and things that i believe is important to manage a Check Point enviroment.
More or less what i expect someone with a CCSA certificate to know.
It will not cover everything with in a certificate, as i dont actually have access to the real course material.
Am also going to include topics that is more or a CCSE / VSX level, as am aiming this serie for larger organizations such as service providers. So am going to call this CCSA+ (its not a real certificate 🙂 )

First videos are up, so i hope you guys will like it.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4Jm1LJEII4b-aoZQ5SltYgzRMPkRPn1u

Regards,
Magnus

A lab demo of the new R81.20 feature "Session Approval for Administrators" (a.k.a. SmartWorkflow) should definitely be included as well as Hyperflow/pipelining. Hyperflow can be forced active for lab/demonstration purposes in VMWare even though doing so is not supported, let me know if you want the "secret" commands to do this. We use them in a Gateway Performance Optimization Course lab exercise.

SmartWorkflow is definitely going to be included, i made a short video about it.
But will make a more detailed video regarding it.

Hyperflow and such advance tech i leave to you Tim to explain 🙂 i run auto/auto on everything 🙃
I will probably mention it in terms of performance optimizations that has been done the latest versions.
But my honest opinion for most of these stuff is have it on default and let check point do its magic.
(yes you should be aware that multiqueue/hyperflow etc etc excists)

Yes leaving everything performance related auto/default is the right way to go. Since R81 trying to tweak any of these things is more likely to hurt than help unless you understand precisely what you are doing; most of the analysis and tuning covered by my Max Power book series for the most part has been replaced with a shell script. 🙂
