1590 upgrade issue

Hello All,

I have an 1590 appliance I am building to replace a remote office device. As it is a straight replacement it is being built offline with the same addressing etc, so not touching the smart management.

It's got the R80.20.02 image on it, so I thought I should bring it up to the latest available, but whatever image I use, they all fail with

upgrade from usb file CP1500_R80_20_40_992002691.tgz Warning! Unable to check the version of the new image. Once the upgrade is complete, the appliance will reboot Are you sure you want to continue? I've tried R81.10.08 which is the latest and it does exactly the same. I've not found anyone else posting this issue, so perhaps I am doing something wrong ?

I appreciate I need to go R80.20.02 > R80.20.40 > R81.10 but tried it anyway.

Any ideas ?

Have you confirmed the file has the same hash as provided on Download Center?
The file extension on SMB firmware should be a .img, not .tgz.

Ah thank you, I think you are correct, i've used the smartcenter download not the local deployment. Will try again.
