I would like create a Remote access VPN connection from Ubuntu server to my SMB 1550 appliance is it possible ?

I didn't find any indication on checkpoint knowledge base, same question for Site t Site VPN from Ubuntu server

For a site-to-site VPN, you can use anything that supports IPsec.
Not familiar with what is available on Linux for this.
