CheckPoint 1490 Appliance FTP backup settings

Hi. I've searched and tried a lot of posts and guides about the working setting for FTP backup settings for the CheckPoint 1490 Appliance.

I've read I must use and FTP account on port 21 and this is fine but I am not be able at the moment to set the correct path and the correct username. I've used the IP server and the path (without the finale /).

This is my configuration at the moment. Suggestions? Thanks a lot. Best regards to all.

To my knowledge the backup server path is simply <ip_address>/path/ as FTP is assumed here per sk110677.

Which firmware version/build is the 1400 running and what FTP server software is used?

Remove the ftp:// from path and it should work !

Hi. The The firmware version is R77.20.80 (990172392). I'm using a simple fileserver on which is configured a local user with FTP rights on IIS. I already use this method to backup other devices.

R77.20.80 is out of support and you should consider upgrading to R77.20.87 taking into consideration that interim steps may be required.
