When reviewing the new R80.20.01 SMB 1500 APPLIANCE SERIES CLI Reference Guide, i saw that one (sometimes very helpful) command is still not present:

online_update_cmd

Usage: online_update_cmd -b <Blade name> -o <Operation> [-f <Offline package filename>]

Blade name is one of: APPI, AV, AB, IPS

Operation is one of: check, reconf, update, markForUpdate, offlineUpdate

Offline package filename is mandatory only if operation is offlineUpdate

While locally managed SMBs offer the possibility to trigger updates in WebGUI, centrally managed SMBs even do not update e.g. IPS to the current version after policy install - so update from CLI is the only possibility other than waiting for the next scheduled update.
