2500 - LAN configuration capabilities

We are considering upgrading the lineup of 1500 series to 2500 for R82, next-gen features and the like.

When using these systems, can we have the choice, like in the 1500 series, to use either the onboard ports as a switch or as discrete ports each with their VLAN, IP etc?

We never use the built-in switch and prefer to have firewalls acting as L3 systems in our implementations.
