Allow file download and block file upload with wetransfer on Quantum Spark

Hi Mates,

See figure 1 for a rule I have in my firewall policy for 1595 firewall version (1500_R81.10.10_996002906), and while figure 2 for Blade Control have checked Block Security risk categories and Block file sharing applications users on my network are unable to download files from WeTransfer.

WeTransfer file download is only possible when Block Security risk categories and Block file sharing applications are unchecked.

Can someone indicate how to get WeTransfer file download working when Block Security risk categories and Block file sharing applications are checked?

I dont know if something like this can be done on smb or not, but what I always do on regular fw and in the lab is simply add *domain*, so in your case *wetransfer*

Not sure if that can be done.

You will need to create custom rule(s) in the Access Policy to support this.

The appwiki lists wetransfer-download and wetransfer-upload separately as below...

Note beyond this, current versions for Quantum Spark appliances don't support content awareness per sk178604.
